Kathe, the creative director at Indigo Hair, has 27 years experience in the beauty industry, obtaining her cosmetology training at Austin Beauty school in Albany, NY. Throughout her career as a hair stylist, she has expanded her knowledge and skills in many areas of beauty and wellness. Kathe has become uniquely experienced in the field of holistic hair care and organic facial techniques, expert eyebrow shaping, wig styling, and make up and hair styling for film and television. Kathe continues to study the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda and how it can help to achieve beautiful and healthy hair and skin.

Her passion for holistic beauty led Kathe to open Indigo Hair Studio, her second salon, the first having closed after 4 years in order for her to earn a AA in graphic design from the Sage college of Albany and start a family.
During her leisure time, the owner of Indigo Organic Hair enjoys spending time with her two greatest sources of amusement: her kids. She immensely enjoys dark chocolate, her dog Sully, music, organic gardening, cooking and eating, herbology and soap and candle making. Kathe likes to travel whenever she can and visits Montréal often.
Favorite sports: motorcycling, swimming, skating and waterskiing.

Due to her chemical sensitivities, Kathe would appreciate that her clients refrain from perfume use.

Lynsey Ciraulo, senior stylist at Indigo Hair for 3 years, and a Troy native, has been in the industry for just four short years, but her technique is exquisite, giving every attention to detail. She excels at haircutting, coloring and updo design.

She has an amazingly positive personality and lots of energy! Lynsey graduated from Tamarac High School in 2003. After high school Lynsey worked as a teacher's assistant and a 1:1 aid in a self contained class room for the Unity sunshine program in Troy. In 2005 Lynsey began her education in Cosmetology at The Orlo School of Hair Design completing her studies and receiving her license in 2006.

Lynsey is also a competition cheerleader and coaches several teams. When not at Indigo, Lynsey can be found hurling through the air at a local gym.

She relaxes by spending time with her family or just sitting in her rocking chair and drinking her morning coffee. What she would really like is to have a dog!

Shannon Beaucage, associate stylist at Indigo since October 2010, has been in the cosmetology industry since 2002. Prior experience includes four years as an instructor at the Orlo School of Hair and Cosmetology.

Shannon takes pride in her work and helping others feel and look their best. In her free time, Shannon enjoys cooking and spending time with her daughter Marisa who works part time at Indigo.

Stephanie Krug, our apprentice stylist, is a 2009 graduate from the Orlo School of Hair and Cosmetology.

She is well suited to the artistry of the craft and has a natural flair all her own. While relatively new to the city of Troy, Stephanie instantly fell in love with the beautiful city and its wonderful pizza selection. She loves to meet new people and enjoys the bright smiles she is able to bring to the faces of her clients. The world is her stage and when not at the salon can often can be found dancing the night away to the amazing electronic music her husband writes.

Stephanie is currently using youtube to teach herself tap dancing.
